Personal Growth & Involvement (PGI)

The Personal Growth & Involvement Program (or PGI Program) is a Leadership and Development program that focuses on attending Club, District & International activities, participating in activities, knowledge of the Optimist organization, self development, communication and growth. There are 10 levels with increasing difficulty so that you stretch yourself and become potentially more well rounded as an Optimist and human being.

Completed PGI levels should be submitted to the District’s Director of the PGI Program.

Professional Development Program (PDP)

The Proffesional Development Program (PDP) is a Leadership and Development program that focuses on project management, marketing, continuous improvement, organizational knowledge & culture, and communication skills. This program is meant to provide members a way to develop professionally. Members will have the opportunity to build skills that will help them professionally and enhance their Club, District and Optimist International.

Completed PGI levels should be submitted to the District’s Director of the PDP.

The PGI and PDP Programs can be worked on simultaneously or seperately. If you have completed one, you can still work to complete the other if you wish.
